With everything that’s currently going on in Australia and around the world, it’s really fantastic for the team and I to have something to celebrate.
Over the past week, four of our advice team (Tom de Fegely, Sam Jewell, Rebeca Pritchard and I), all received significant pats on the back, and it gives me great satisfaction to see their names up in lights.
Firstly, congratulations to Tom, who has made it through to the finals of the AFG (Australian Finance Group) Mortgage Broker of the Year awards that will be decided in September.
Rebecca, Sam and I were all shortlisted for the Financial Standard’s “most influential financial advisers” list, which comes out annually. Rebecca is a veteran on the financial standard list while this is Sam’s first time being shortlisted after a fantastically consistent year.
However, what I am most proud of is the increased level of collaboration and sharing of ideas between the advisers at Rising Tide. This, coupled with the care and empathy that our team has shown across the past 18 months since COVID struck has made me realise that we really do have a special team here.
Alongside the advice team, I want to ensure that the guys behind the scenes are given due plaudits too. It is fair to say that the delivery team work their proverbial off to ensure we deliver on our promise to clients – and this in turn makes the advice team look good.
Each of our business units has started at different points in time and different stages on the development curve – but making collaboration as a first instinct between advisers is really helping to fast track outcomes for clients.
