At Rising Tide Financial Services, we know that our people are important, and if it wasn’t for their continued hard work, we wouldn’t be able to deliver the same incredible outcomes that our company has become known for.

That’s why we’re committed to acknowledging their efforts and recognising the team members who continuously go above and beyond with our annual Rising Star employee of the year awards.

Each quarter, the Rising Tide directors get together to cast their votes on each team members’ performance in relation to the seven Rising Tide values. These values aren’t about sales or targets – they’re much more important. They’re about authenticity, empathy, and attitude.

For the year of 2017, we’re stoked to name our Associate Financial Advisor Ali Hussaini as Rising Tide’s Rising Star, and Loans Processing Manager Sarah Neil and Client Services Manager Talia Malcomson as the 2017 finalists.

Ali has been with us for a little over 2 years. As a Financial Advisor, Ali works with clients face to face, helping them to identify the best way to manage their finances and start making their money work for them. A bit of a quiet achiever, Ali’s passion for what he does is clear – and it’s something that’s throughout the entire office.

“The thing I like most about working for Rising Tide is the culture and the people that I get to work with on a daily basis. For me, working at Rising Tide doesn’t feel like work – most of the time it feels more a hobby!” says Ali.

For Talia, the best part about working at Rising Tide is the fun, motivated office environment, as well as the opportunity to learn a variety of different aspects of how the business operates and really hone her skills.

“Initially I joined the Rising Tide team as an intern, and when I finished studying I was lucky enough to be offered a graduate position. Currently, I work in the lending team under Sam Gawneda where I get to do a bit of everything. Eventually I’ll move into a mortgage broker role, but for now, I’m managing a lot of the ins and outs while I’m learning a lot of new skills” says Talia.

For Sarah, this was her second consecutive year of being named a finalist, but she was no less surprised.

“After such a crazy year, it’s a really nice acknowledgement. I was actually really surprised to be named a finalist again – it’s such a lovely recognition to get,” says Sarah.

“To me, the best part about working for Rising Tide is the great atmosphere and the fact that it’s such a supportive team. Although we work in separate departments, we’re all in the same office and everyone’s always willing to pitch in and lend a hand where they can. It’s a really great sense of teamwork – and it really helps us to achieve so much more.”

From all of the Rising Tide directors, we’d like to congratulate the legends Ali, Talia and Sarah once again on their fantastic performance, and thank the entire team for their dedication and hard work throughout 2017. Here’s to another great year at Rising Tide!
