Most people reading this already know something needs to change.
Their income has grown. Their lives have become more complicated. They’ve got assets sitting without a strategy, a super balance they haven’t looked at properly, and a nagging sense that they should be further ahead than they are.
They know the status quo isn’t good enough. What they’re not sure about is whether paying for advice will actually fix it — or whether it’ll just be another thing that costs money and doesn’t quite deliver.
Meet Rising Tide Financial
The cost of doing nothing
Here’s something most financial advisers won’t say to you plainly.
For the majority of our clients, the first time they invest real money outside of their home and superannuation is with us. Not because they weren’t capable of doing it sooner. Because without someone to build the strategy, hold them accountable, and make the decision feel safe — they never would have.
The opportunity cost of that delay is enormous. Years of compounding returns that don’t exist. Tax strategies that were never implemented. Wealth that was never built because the right conversation never happened.
Who we are
Every shareholder in this business works in this business. No silent investors, no outside interests, no one pulling at our attention from elsewhere. The people who own Rising Tide are the same people who sit across the table from you. That matters more than it sounds.
We are very good at what we do. When that’s paired with clients who are driven, goal-oriented, and willing to act — the outcomes are exceptional. Not because of clever products or fortunate timing. Because good advice, applied consistently over time, by people who genuinely care about the result, works.
What we’re actually here to do
Are we going to be okay?
That’s not a return question. It’s a life question. It’s about having enough clarity over your financial position that you can make decisions based on knowledge — not anxiety, not guesswork, not what the market did last week.
That clarity is what we build. And for most of our clients, it changes how they live — not just how they invest.
What it costs — and why it’s fair
We’ll be direct. Most of our clients pay north of $5,000 after tax each year for our ongoing advice. We don’t hide behind smoke and mirrors on that number.
Here’s how it’s structured.
Getting started — Free
An intro call costs nothing. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you — early and clearly. We’re genuinely good at that, and we’d rather have that conversation upfront than waste your time.
Discovery meeting — $440 inc. GST
A senior adviser reviews your situation, explores your goals, and maps out what working together could look like. One-off, no obligation beyond that.
If you don’t leave that meeting genuinely excited about what’s possible — we’ll refund the fee within 24 hours. No awkward conversation required.
Onboarding — $6,600 to $9,900 inc. GST (one-off)
This is where we build your plan. Super, insurance, cashflow, investment structure, tax — we review it all and implement what needs to change.
Up to 80% can be paid from your super or investments rather than your take-home pay.
Ongoing advice — a flat monthly fee plus 0.72% of your invested assets
Before we set your ongoing fee, we assess your situation — your employment, structures, family dynamics, financial complexity, and how much coordination your advice requires. Based on that, your monthly cashflow fee will be one of two amounts:
- Low complexity: $440/month paid from cashflow
- High complexity: $690/month paid from cashflow
On top of that, 0.72% per year on your invested assets. This connects our fee to your wealth — as your portfolio grows, we grow with it. We have a genuine stake in the outcome.
What that looks like in practice:
- A straightforward couple with $400k invested: around $8,160 inc GST per year
- A high-income individual with $1.5m invested: around $16,080 inc GST per year
- A high complexity client with $800k invested: around $14,040 ex GST per year
Up to 80% can come from super or investments. The cash portion can be tax-deductible, so the real out-of-pocket cost is lower than the headline number suggests.
And one more thing worth saying: you sign our fees off every year. No gym-style memberships that linger long after you’ve stopped getting value. If we’re not delivering, you’re not locked in. That’s how it should work, and it keeps everyone engaged.
What you get for it
You get a relationship with a financial planner who is as good at reading people as they are at reading a balance sheet. In this industry, technical knowledge is the baseline. What separates great advice from average advice is the ability to understand what a client actually needs — not just what they say they want. Our planners have both.
Behind that relationship is a business with over 20 years of continuous operation. In that time, not one of our clients has had frozen funds or lost money due to bad advice. Not one. In an industry where that cannot be said universally, we think it’s worth saying plainly.
Behind the business is a strong balance sheet — built deliberately, to ensure we are here for the long term. We are not a startup. We are not dependent on a single adviser or a single good year. We operate under a large, well-resourced Australian Financial Services licence held by an organisation dedicated to financial advice — which means oversight, compliance, professional indemnity, and a structured path to resolution if anything ever goes wrong.
You also get the practical infrastructure of an ongoing relationship: an annual review, a mid-year progress update, and a team available when things come up between meetings. The work is dictated by what you need — not what you want to pay or how often you want to meet. Super strategy, investment structure, insurance, tax planning, debt coordination, cashflow management, and behavioural coaching through volatile markets. The mix changes as life does. We change with it.
If you’re weighing up your options
We’re not the cheapest option in the market. We’re also not trying to be.
What we are is honest, experienced, and genuinely excellent at this. We will tell you if we can’t add value to your situation — before you spend a dollar. What we ask in return is simple: give us the chance to understand your situation before you judge the fee. The value of advice is almost impossible to assess from a price list. It becomes obvious once we work together.
Most of our clients will tell you that engaging Rising Tide was the best financial decision they ever made. Not because we promised them the world. Because we delivered on what we said we would — year after year, through every chapter.

We don’t say this to be dramatic. We say it because it’s true, and because we think you deserve to hear it before you decide whether to book a call.
What you get out of working with us?

Why can trust your money is in the right hands?
Rising Tide has been running for over 20 years of continuous operation. In that time, not one of our clients has had frozen funds or lost money due to bad advice. Not one. In an industry where that cannot be said universally, we think it’s worth saying plainly.
Behind the business is a strong balance sheet, built deliberately, to ensure we are here for the long term. We are not a startup. We are not dependent on a single adviser or a single good year. We operate under a large, well-resourced Australian Financial Services licence held by an organisation dedicated to financial advice, which means oversight, compliance, professional indemnity, and a structured path to resolution if anything ever goes wrong.
Who is not a right fit for your services?
We’re probably not the right fit if you’re after a one-off or transactional service, we’re built around ongoing relationships, not quick fixes. You may also want to look elsewhere if any of the following apply:
You have or want a self-managed super fund
You want to focus solely on property
You need face-to-face meetings every time
You’re planning to leave Australia within the next five years
You have significant assets overseas
You’re seeking standalone insurance, Centrelink, or aged care advice
We take a holistic, long-term approach to financial planning, so if that’s not what you’re looking for, we’re probably not your people.
