Understanding Tax Advice
Tax advice starts with understanding how your income, investments and financial arrangements affect the amount of tax you pay. It can cover investment planning, superannuation, business structures and other financial decisions that influence your overall tax position.

The Benefits of Working With a Tax Advisor
A tax advisor gives you an independent view of your financial position, helping you identify opportunities that may otherwise be missed. The result is advice that’s tailored to your circumstances and continues to adapt as your income, investments and goals change.
Simplify complex tax decisions by reviewing how your income, investments and financial structures work together, making it easier to understand your options and act with confidence.
Maximise legitimate tax savings by identifying available deductions, concessions and planning opportunities that may otherwise be overlooked, helping you retain more of what you earn.
Provide personalised strategies that reflect your income, assets and future plans, creating an approach that’s more effective than general guidance.
Offer ongoing support as your circumstances change. Regular reviews allow tax advisors to refine your strategy, respond to legislative updates and identify new opportunities over time.

Understanding the Cost of Tax Advice
The cost of tax advice depends on your financial circumstances, the scope of advice required, and the level of ongoing support that's right for you. We begin with a complimentary introductory call, followed by a Discovery Meeting ($440 including GST), where a tax advisor takes the time to understand your financial position, current strategies and the outcomes you're looking to achieve.
If you choose to move forward, we'll prepare a Statement of Advice (SOA) outlining our recommendations, the reasoning behind them, and any associated costs before work begins. Clients who proceed with comprehensive advice typically pay a one-off onboarding fee ranging from $6,600 to $9,900 including GST, covering the development and implementation of their financial strategy.
Clients who continue with ongoing advice receive a service that’s tailored to their circumstances and reviewed each year as part of an annual advice agreement. Regular reviews allow your tax advisor to respond to changes in tax legislation, plus your financial position and future priorities, keeping your strategy aligned over time.

How can a tax advisor help me save money?
A tax advisor looks beyond your annual tax return to identify legitimate opportunities that improve your tax position. This may involve reviewing how your investments are structured, making the most of available concessions, or planning major financial decisions before they’re made.
The goal isn’t simply to reduce the tax you pay today. It’s to make decisions that support stronger financial outcomes over the long term, while remaining aligned with current Australian tax legislation.
How does the tax advice process work?
Working with Rising Tide begins with an introductory conversation to understand your circumstances and goals. If you decide to proceed, we’ll develop tailored recommendations, explain every step of the process, and continue reviewing your strategy over time as your needs change. Our team is here to make every step of the process straightforward and easy to understand.
Are your services available for both individuals and businesses?
Yes. We work with individuals, families, business owners and investors whose financial circumstances benefit from strategic tax advice. Whether you’re managing employment income, investment assets, or business interests, the advice you receive is tailored to your financial priorities and long-term goals.
How do you ensure compliance with Australian tax laws?
Keeping your strategy compliant starts with advice that’s based on current Australian tax legislation. We consider the tax implications before making recommendations and review your strategy over time as legislation changes. If specialist accounting or legal advice is needed, we’ll work closely with your accountant or solicitor to keep your financial strategy aligned.
